CITY OF ANGELS and
GUYS & DOLLS JR
The New Jersey Summer Theatre Workshop has provided New Jersey's High School students with the opportunity to perform in professional level productions for the past sixteen years. The NJSTW has featured student talent from more than forty schools with many alumni going on to study in top collegiate programs or to careers in professional theatre.
Past productions have included Spring Awakening, Les Miserable, Urinetown, Tommy, Sweeny Todd, Superstar, Drowsy Chaperone and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. The program has been housed in Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge HS), Little Falls (Passaic Valley HS), Tenafly (Tenafly HS), but has relocated to a state-of-the-art facility at Mount Saint Dominic Academy for its 2012 season.

Eligibility: Open to any students currently in grades 8-12
Rehearsal Period: 6/24 through 7/24
Rehearsal Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:30 - 10pm, Saturdays (6/29, 7/20) 10am - 5pm
Performances: July 25, 26 and 27
Cost: $600 for an accepted student, covering all materials and instruction
Step into the world of 1940s Hollywood as part of the New Jersey Summer Theatre Workshop's acclaimed Senior Company, now in its 17th season! NJSTW offers a 5-week theatre intensive which includes training in voice, acting, dance and dramaturgy as part of the rehearsal process for a production of the Tony Award-winning "film noir" musical CITY OF ANGELS. Top young performers from around the region work with world-class educators and Broadway professionals to develop and hone individual performance skills and create an unforgettable production! Some scholarship money is available, and there is a guaranteed $50 discount for any current Mount St Dominic student enrolled.
Attend the open audition on Saturday, May 18th:Please arrive either between 8:30 and 11am for the morning session or between 12:00 and 2pm for the afternoon session. Please prepare a singing audition of 32 bars or less, and bring legible sheet music for our accompanist. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as there will be a light dance requirement at the audition. Select individuals will be asked to return for a callback after 2pm that day. *If you absolutely can not attend on the 18th please email NJSummerTheatre@gmail.com to arrange an alternate audition date*

Guys and Dolls Jr.Eligibility: Open to any students currently in grades 5-9

Rehearsal Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:00 - 7:30pm, Saturday (7/13) 10am - 5pm
Performances: July 19 and 20
Cost: $400 for an accepted student, covering all materials and instruction
Develop your skills and come "Rock the Boat" with us this year as part of New Jersey Summer Theatre Workshop's GUYS AND DOLLS JR! Once again this summer, NJSTW offers younger students the opportunity to learn and perform in the same professional environment as our senior ensemble . The Junior Company will take part in a 4-week rehearsal process for GUYS AND DOLLS JR that emphasizes good performance technique for voice, acting and dance in a fun and supportive environment. Young performers will develop skills to prepare them for high school theatre and beyond! Some scholarship money is available.
